Marie Abraham-Robinson, M.S., LMFT

Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist

Executive Leadership Expert

I have spent more than 15 years in the social services field, and over the past seven years, I have been at the executive level, successfully managing a 50-person team.  While I thoroughly enjoy being a leader, I also enjoy spending time listening and helping others navigate through the tough challenges that they face. We’ve all experienced them. We’ve all had a hundred thoughts, ideas and solutions floating around in our minds, keeping us awake at night and being the first things to greet us as we awake in the morning.

In my role as therapist, I want to help individuals navigate through all of their thoughts, ideas and solutions, then land on a decision that feels right. I am extremely optimistic. I know that one way or another, things will work out if one continues to hope, try AND work. We must have hope that things will be resolved. We must try different options before making a final decision. And, of course, we must do the work. Answers don’t just land in our laps, well, I guess sometimes they do! But, it’s always best to “do the work.” Let me help you do the work.

I know the importance of being transparent, and for a long time, I felt it necessary to “hold back” for fear of what others may think of me. After all, I am a woman of color practicing in a world where I am constantly a minority. But, despite the reality, I have never allowed that to hinder me from excelling. Being a minority woman is a plus for me. As a matter of fact, I’ve excelled because I am different. I have lived. I have traveled. I have loved. I have danced. I have cried. These experiences bring wisdom, and that, I have!
